# Vật liệu dễ bị ăn mòn bởi mưa axit

Những vật liệu dễ bị ăn mòn khi tiếp xúc thời gian dài với mưa axit gồm:

* Kim loại (sắt, thép): axit sunfuric trong mưa có khả năng tác động lên sắt, thép và hình thành các muối axit như sunfat sắt (FeSO4).
* Đá tự nhiên: mưa axit sẽ làm hòa tan canxi cacbonat (CaCO3) - thành phần chính của đá - gây hiện tượng ăn mòn trên các công trình từ đá như tượng đá, tường đá.

* Da và cao su: tiếp xúc trực tiếp với mưa axit trong thời gian dài hòa tan các thành phần trong vật liệu từ da và cao su, gây ra quá trình ăn mòn.
* Bề mặt sơn: mưa axit sẽ làm mòn lớp sơn và làm suy giảm tình thẩm mỹ của các công trình sơn phủ
* Thạch cao: mưa axit sẽ hủy hoại cấu trúc thạch cao, khiến bề mặt thạch cao mất đi tính chất cơ học, dần dần bị ăn mòn.
